9:7-10 Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.
Why this mission trip: God is at work all around us an
d all around the world. Often, when we are given the opportunity to see God at work in another part of the world, our eyes are opened to seeing God’s Kingdom more clearly here. The goal of this trip is to encounter Christ, to build relationships with one another and with our brothers and sisters in Christ in Nicaragua, and to see what God is doing there. We hope to spend time with Vida Joven (Young Life) workers and leaders from Esteli. We will partner with then in their work through serving in any way we are asked to serve. In the past, teams have taken part in construction, staffing medical clinics, supporting VBS, hosting a soccer tournament/beauty spa, and helping with contact work. Our activities and even our destination in Nicaragua will depend on the make-up of our team and the needs of Vida Joven.
