Why pray when you are in trouble? Why praise God in prayer? Why should we involve others when we do? And what about healing? And did Jesus did this? This message is rooted in the gospels and the letter of James and all about learning from Jesus how to pray with Jesus with help from James.

Prayer, community, and Jesus! When we fail to pray, we miss so much of God’s power and the ability to see and bear witness to God’s Kingdom advancing. When we fail to pray with community, we miss out on a great source of strength, encouragement, and help. But when we do, we have some things in common with Jesus – and with James. He was renowned for the calluses on his knees because he spent so much time in prayer. He has some things to teach us! May the Lord help us hear! 

We find a great help for mission when we pray, with community, like Jesus. And it could very well open up our mission! (15:30)
