Sunday Message – Sent to Be A BlessingTo those who are willing to accept it, we are sent like Jesus to be a blessing to the world! And the odd thing is, we become blessed in the process!  But what exactly does it mean to be blessed?  (11-1/2 minutes)

Sent Like Jesus to Forgive – John 20:21-22, Matthew 18:21-35

In the same way God the Father sent God the Son into this world, God the Son sends his disciples. He gives us gift and power of God the Holy Spirit, and real authority that has implications on heaven and earth.

So many followers of Jesus never realize this. Accepting this act of God in our lives and accepting the mission given to us by Jesus changes how we see the people around us and how we see ourselves. As we live into it, we are changed and so is the world.

Offering more hope for the post pandemic church. (11-1/2 minutes.)

Sunday Message – People Jesus Sends!

The Church is made up of people who call Jesus Lord. But what kind of people can we expect to find in the post-pandemic church?

Will they dwell in the heights recounting the glories of God?  Will they be heroes unparalleled in the history of God’s people?  Will they be able to boast of the great things they have done?  Or will they be the broken, fumbling, got-it-wrong-again types we meet in the Bible?

We can gain some insights from scripture about how well we will follow Jesus, and about what Jesus will ask us to do. (16 minutes)

Sunday Message – Jesus Is Lord

Our next gathering is December 7 at 7pm. Probably on Zoom. Let me know if you’d like to take part!

Naturally, if Jesus is Lord, we surrender the right to do what we want with our lives.

But what happens when we discover Jesus is leading us where we don’t want to go or asking us to do what we don’t want to do? What happens when we say to Jesus, “I’d rather die than follow you where you are leading?”

Well, we wouldn’t be the first. How Simon became Peter and discovered more about Jesus as Lord! (11 Minutes)

Sunday Message: Finding Out Jesus Is Lord

Our next worship gathering is at the Gables on Monday night (11/15/20). Park at 783 Scrub Jay Drive, 32092, and we will walk to the pool where we will worship together. Text 903-599-2889 for the gate code if it is closed. Bring your lawn chairs if you would like.

It is hard to overstate the importance of knowing Jesus as Lord. But what does it mean? And how do we come to know Jesus that way? We can gain some insight, and maybe a little awe, from the story about the day Jesus stepped into the boat of a man named Simon.

Today’s message: Finding Out Jesus Is Lord – Luke 5:1-11 – 13 minutes
