Long term plans: Retreat February 12-14, 2016.  Mission trip to Nicaragua, June 4-11, 2016.

What happens at worship gatherings?  We sing, pray, examine scripture, listen for God and celebrate what God is doing on the First Coast.

What will it be like?  We hope it will feel like you have walked into a gathering of friends and family.  God will be present.  We will work to make sure you feel at home.   We want everyone to leave saying, “I love God.  I love what God is doing in our city.  And these people helped me feel like I belonged.”

Why Gather for Worship on Saturdays?  We feel like God’s led us to Saturday nights – and we are pretty excited about being free to be out on Sundays to serve and bless our neighborhoods, our city, and even being involved in other churches.  The day may come when we organize gatherings on Sunday mornings, but we don’t ever want to lose our focus on discipleship and going out to bless our city.

Can I plug into a missional community (aka micro-church?)  Yes!  Right now we have two that are meeting together for a season.  One focuses on partnering with Young Lives, the other is discerning where to serve.  Fill out the contact form below, and we’ll follow up or just call Jesse Alexander 904-599-2889.

What do we teach in our services?  We are rooted in the scriptures and the heart of the Christian message: to trust Christ for life, forgiveness, and salvation – and to respond by loving God, loving our neighbors, and making disciples.  Our teachings focus on what it means to follow Jesus.   We reflect on his words, celebrate his works, and seek insight into his way.

Grace and Truth in Worship: Our worship gatherings are very much about grace.  Our Father in Heaven loves us and his heart is kind!  We worship in response.  And our worship gatherings are also very much about truth – the truth we find in God’s Word, because we know that God’s truth sets us free.  Emphasizing both is important because we follow Jesus – who is full of grace and truth. (see John 1:14)
